1. What happens about my garbage pickup when there is a statutory holiday?

Our drivers pick up on all statutory holidays except Christmas and New Years Day.

2. What time is my garbage pickup?

Our drivers begin their routes at 8:00 AM. In order to streamline our routing, we ask that your containers be in place or at the curbside by 8:00 AM, but no earlier than 6 am, on your service day.

3. When is payment on my account due?

Payment is due before the end of the current billing period. (Net 30 days.) Any overdue invoice will be charged a 24% annual overdue charge on the balance of the overdue amount.

4. What am I not allowed to put in the containers?

In order to comply with regional and local bylaws, the following items CAN NOT under any circumstances be put in a VP Waste Bin. Heavy Fines and Environmental Charges that may result will be the sole responsibility of the party that has rented the bin regardless of who placed those items into the bin.

  • Hazardous waste
  • Liquids or container with liquids
  • Food waste
  • Fridges or freezers
  • Tires
  • Batteries
  • Biological/pathological or biomedical waste
  • Animal carcasses
  • Manure or sewage sludge
  • Chemical waste or containers
  • Hot waste
  • Photocopiers
  • Bricks

5. How do I know what size container is right for me?

6. What if the container I have ordered is too large/small for my needs?

We understand that service needs change due to numerous circumstances. We are more than willing to try different containers to determine what suits you best.

7. How should I load my bin?

Please try to load your container as evenly as possible. It make the container easier to empty, and it is easier on our vehicles as well. Bins should not be filled any higher than the lip of the container to prevent any spilling to occur while emptying the container.

8. What if I damage the container I have Rented?

The containers are made to be durable so damages are minimized. However, responsibility and liability for the containers is solely the customers while it is on their property or in their use.
